Another success for the HPSi 500 vibratory hammer! Associated Pacific of Morro Bay was hired to install an HZ sea wall in Pajaro Dunes near Watsonville, California. The 15,000 pound wide flange beams were driven through a template into 62’ feet of the difficult Watsonville sand/clay lens.

500inallgloryThe extremely high section-modulus Arbed H-Z wall supplied by Skyline Steel has superior strength, but it includes very heAavy wide-flange beams to develop the high strength. To drive the heavy beams, Associated Pacific’s Reg Wimbley rented from BMC an HPSi 500 with 200 ton clamp with special wide jaws.

Both Mr. Wembley and his crew were impressed with the 500’s performance. Thanks go out to all involved in the project for another job well done.
